About this Event

The Religion Department would like to invite any interested students, and their family members, to participate in a pilgrimage taking place on Friday, May 17th, 2024. The purpose of this pilgrimage is to make a journey of prayer and to take part in a deeply significant tradition of the Church. We will begin our walk at St. Joseph’s Parish Church, Mission. We will walk to Westminster Abbey via Pilgrim’s Way. Then we will attend the mass in their church celebrated by the Vancouver clergy. That will be followed by a short visit to the viewpoint and game time in the beautiful serenity of the Abbey grounds. Lunch will be provided and should start around 12:00 pm. We will also have a short tour and talk by Rev. Mark Dumont OSB, the guest master at the Abbey. This should conclude our day of spiritual rejuvenation and great opportunity to grow in virtuous life. The day is planned to conclude at 1:00 pm.

The pilgrimage can be offered up for specific intentions or may simply be an offering to God.  Families are welcome to participate as well. If you are interested in participating, please talk to any of the Religion teachers. Please review the following information and fill out the appropriate forms to allow your son/daughter to attend the pilgrimage.

Departure:            Meeting at St. Joseph’s Church, Mission at 9 am

Pickup:                 at Westminster Abbey in Mission at 1:00 pm

Supervising Adults: Mr. Lavrik

Transportation:   Parent transportation to St. Joseph’s and Parent pickup at Abbey
